CVE-2025-55184
highA pre-authentication denial of service vulnerability exists in React Server Components versions 19.0.0, 19.0.1 19.1.0, 19.1.1, 19.1.2, 19.2.0 and 19.2.1, including the following packages: react-server-dom-parcel, react-server-dom-turbopack, and react-server-dom-webpack. The vulnerable code unsafely deserializes payloads from HTTP requests to Server Function endpoints, which can cause an infinite loop that hangs the server process and may prevent future HTTP requests from being served.

Attack Vector
Network
Attack Vector (AV:N): exploitable remotely over the network — most dangerous. no physical or adjacent access needed.
Attack Complexity
Low
Attack Complexity (AC:L): no special conditions needed. attack can be reliably reproduced.
Privileges Required
None
Privileges Required (PR:N): no authentication needed. any anonymous attacker can exploit this.
User Interaction
None
User Interaction (UI:N): no victim action needed. fully exploitable without user interaction.

Scope
Unchanged
Scope (S:U): impact limited to the vulnerable component.
Confidentiality
None
Confidentiality (C:N): no confidentiality impact.
Integrity
None
Integrity (I:N): no integrity impact.
Availability
High
Availability (A:H): total denial of service. attacker can fully shut down the resource.
